Asenath Odondi PhD Student, Purdue UniversityI hold a Master of Science in Mathematics and a Baccalaureate Certificate in Statistics from Purdue Fort Wayne. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics Education at Purdue University. My research focuses on the affective aspects of mathematics education, particularly on alleviating math anxiety through affective pedagogies such as Trauma-Informed Practices (TIPs) and Care Practices.I have taught various courses, including College Algebra, Trigonometry, Secondary Mathematics Methods Courses, and Multiculturalism in Education. Additionally, I have held various leadership roles, including serving as President of the African Student Organization (ASO) at Purdue Fort Wayne. I am currently the Chair of the Purdue Award and Engagement Committee in the Math Education Program and a member of the Indiana Mathematics Education Research Symposium (IMERS) Committee. I also serve as the Hospitality and Logistics Team Chair within IMERS and as a Global Student Ambassador at Purdue University.
